Hackmodford
Thanks for the info. I'm also considering it may be a faulty SATA cable. I had put the time machine disk on that cable and the disk verify was taking a LOOONG time. I might just be impatient, but I tried canceling and it locked the computer, I had to hard reset. Hackmodford
It happened againI even changed the port and cable... I just reinstalled Mac OS and essentially it just reverted it back to mac os 10.9.1 I didn't even know it was possible to reinstall over an existing install. Is this essentially the same thing as windows repair installation? In any case it let me properly boot the computer again. I am updating to 10.9.3 now... --Update: Jun 30 2014 -- So far no problems to report. Though I haven't really used the computer that much. The mac store upgrade to 10.9.3 went good. --Update: July 1 2014 -- Still no problems all seems better so far...
CyberManiaK
Dude I was having similar problems also with an OCZ SSD, but mine is a Vector, the only way that I was able to fix it, was doing a secure erase , I did it with OCZ Toolbox. http://ocz.com/consumer/download/firmware
Hackmodford
My friend did that for me. But I did get corruption afterwards. I'm fairly certain the reinstall, then restore timemachine, then reinstal ontop fixed whatever was corrupted. No issues so far still
