PerkyMango
Hey guys, I recently (today) installed Mac OS 10.10 and I can't get ethernet working. I use the motherboard's default ethernet. The ethernet is Realtek 8111E and it worked fine on Mavericks, but now that I'm on Yosemite, it won't work like it did on mavericks. The page on OSx86 said it would soon have support, but I can't wait. I'm currently using a last minute setup. I used my jailbroken iPhone 5 with TetherMe and I set it to host wifi over USB. Plus, this won't work out much longer. Any help is appreciated. Thank you. P.S: How do I set ethernet built in on clover? (If I can get this fixed soon) P.P.S: I have tried NullEthernet.kext (Nothing) P.P.P.S: I'm writing a guide on how to install OS X Yosemite on a hackintosh. Thanks! P.P.P.P.S: I can attach any files necessary. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298472-realtek-8111e-on-1010/ Share on other sites

PGHammer21B
Trying it now, thanks! Well, thanks, but it didn't work. Trying it now, thanks! Well, thanks, but it didn't work. I used the same Realtek kext from 10.9 (Realtek RTL81xx.kext) injected via Clover kext-injection - works for *all* RTL81xx from C to current (I have the E also). Only item left to fix is that volume-out for my Audigy Classic shows muted (however, the kext - kXAudioDriver.kext, works fine, as does the sound) - I have to rely on powered speakers since I have no volume control via the Finder. (This is only in Yosemite - volume control works in Mavericks.)
