robE Posted June 4, 2014 Share Posted June 4, 2014 Hello people , my yosmite runs just fine but the only problem i have with it is that my dell soundbar ac511 is not working and here comes the tricky part: it's recognised and the ALERT sounds work just fine but my volume is greyed out and music just won't work. I've tried to install the usb3.0 kext from [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url], i tried to replace the AppleUSBAudio kext from mavericks where btw works out of the box just fine. I can understand that this can be just a "beta" bug that will be solved in the next builds but i was just curious if there is anything i can do to solve this, any other kext to replace? JohnUK89 Posted June 4, 2014 Share Posted June 4, 2014 I had to go into Audio MIDI Setup and tell it to use my USB sound card as the default before any sounds would play. Was rather confusing as to why it wouldn't just work out of the box, but it's working now. Perhaps it would do so for you?
