error after upgrading to 10.7.5

Recommended Posts

Hi team,

I shouldn't touch my hackintosh but...today i try to upgrade from 10.7.4(or 3) to 10.7.5 but i'm stuck on startup:

SMC : :smcReadKeyAction ERROR $Num KSMCKeyNotFound(0x84)

SMC : :smcInitHelper ERROR: MMIO RegMap == NULL - Fail to old SMC mode

Sound assertion in AppleHDAController at line 4077

error: Failed to open PCI Device

panic (cpu 4 caller ...)

Could someone help to fix it?

My config is attached

Chamelon v2.1svn r1909

Many thanks,

AT first reboot, the reboot, shut, close session did not work. I had to manually shutdown my PC

I have updated VoodooHDA-v284.zip I do see something on Preference system / Sound But nothing comes out :S

NB: after rebooting chrome, wifi card work again

EDIT: on more info, the integrated audio has nothing :(

Your sound works well with AppleHDA for ALC889, delete VoodooHDA and search for ALC889 AppleHDA.

PS: Your system work well with Mountain Lion

Ok I have deleted VoodooHDA (fix and reboot) and:

- install from ##### 4.7: Drivers & Bootloaders / Drivers / Audio / Realtek ALC8XX / With DSDT / ALC889 => rebooted and then nothing on audio device

- install from ##### 4.7: Drivers & Bootloaders / Drivers / Audio / Realtek ALC8XX / Without DSDT / ALC889 => got something on audio device but the sound is still not here.

Did i do something wrong?

PS: i did not find a direct link for ALC889 AppleHDA (MACOS lion 10.7.5)

Try this http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/16-applehda-for-alc889a-885/ (with dsdt injection layout 12), if doesn't work: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/124-realtek-alc889-applehda-audio/ (With HDAEnabler layout 1)

Also this: http://www.osx86.net/files/file/78-alc885-alc887-alc888-alc889-alc892-alc898/ (With layout 1)

If you don't have DSDT extract the file with this terminal command:

perl -e 'open(CMD, "ioreg -lw0 \| grep DSDT|") or die; while()
{ chomp; if($_ =~ /\"DSDT\.?\d?\"=]*)>/) { $buff = $1; open(PIP,
"|xxd -r -p > ~/Desktop/dsdt.aml") or die; print PIP "$1"; } }'

Compress and attach the file created in desktop

FInally found the fix for the audio for 10.7.5 !

rename /S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext, install this kext http://www.osx86.net/files/file/2510-bin-patched-alc889-applehda-kext-for-lion-11a444d/ with kext utility

Reboot and chose integrated sound and here we are ! :)

Now i'm worried about upgrading to Mountain Lion...Do we have a specific procedure to upgrade from 10.7.5 ? Does this guide work for a GA-X58A-UD3R?

Create new installer with the guide and good luck (try in a little partition of the hard disk or in another disk for testing, when all works well you must install in substitution of Lion)

    • the slowness is most likely IM's host provider. we used to use ONE.com but they sucked and it was super slow so we switched and things definitely got better on the slowness front
    • Remove the THB_C cable and try this: SSDT-TB3 Z270.aml Remember though, the method without THB_C works only if a device is connected and turned on before boot, otherwise the PCI-TB card is not loaded by the system (and you do not see it on ioreg). In my case it works because my TB Dock is always on. To succeed try these steps:
1- enable Fix Shutdown in Clover
      2- turn off the computer
3- Connect the TB device and switch it on
4- wait few seconds and turn on the computer Obviously if you do not have a dock like me you have two choices:
      - Use the SSDT V1 or V2 and deactivate the sleep if you are having problems
      - Wait for new developments     @Loloflat6 Apart this bad luck, you're still lucky, the TBEX is the only TB card (at least until now) that is recognized naturally by the system even without a THB_C cable o device connected at boot

    • @MacPeet Sound is greyed, no devices is syspref. There are some assertions in console, not sure if they were before. Sysinfo now doesn't have line line-in which is OK, it is maybe connected to dock.  alcdbg.tiff ioreg.tiff sndAssert.tiff sysinfo.tiff
