Rammjet
...sigh...trying again to solve a problem with no information... What are the specs of your computer including motherboard? Is the blue screen problem when you boot the DVD or after you have installed onto the PC? dj_myk
My specs are celeron d 3.2 ghz with ht 1 gig of ddr ram Biostar 300g Small form factor link to spec http://www.biostar.com.tw/products/barebon...300g/index.php3 ATI pci express graphics card 2 SATA DRIVES I have tried previously to boot from the dvd using versions 10.4.4,10.4.5 and 10.4.8. and every time I try I the blue screen before install and the spinning circle disk, then it cuts to a black screen with a white rectangle in the top left corner. So i decided to use the hard disk out of my other PC which has mac osx installed on it already, and I stuck it in my machine above, and it boots in but then gets to the blue screen before u get the desktop and hangs there. I really want mac osx on this pc so I don't have to jump between 2 pc's Mike Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/29804-1045/#findComment-205794 Share on other sites
Rammjet
I believe the motherboard has onboard GMA900 video. What happens if you remove the ATI card and use the onboard graphics? dj_myk
Ok I have tried booting with the pci express card out and the onboard one in, and I get the same result with the white rectangle in the top left corner Mike Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/29804-1045/#findComment-205813 Share on other sites

rick taylor
You could try removing your ati graphics card, I had a similar problem that was fixed by removing my card. I may be wrong, but in my bios settings the GMA900 is identified as PCI express, it could be that your system is confused about which graphics to use. dj_myk
I just brought the pc into my work to show it off to my work mates, and i decided that I would try playing about with the ATI pci expresss card in and out, and I can't seam to get it to go any further than the install setup screen Upon booting up it displays the blue screen, then flicks off then come back on. Then the multicoloured spinning disk apaears, The dvd reads some more and then it jumps to a pure black screen with a white rectange in the top left corner. NO text just the white rectangle. I have left the system like this for 10 mins+ and nothing happens, NO HD or DVD activity. I have even tried disabling the on board car in the BIOS and letting the PCI express card do the work, but the same issue occours I have tried it wil versions 10.4.4 and 10.4.8 I soooo wanna get this working Mike Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/29804-1045/#findComment-206275 Share on other sites
