lucaasdm3
Today, after installing Office 2011, i rebooted my notebook, and after this the boot stops in "haimdall.kext" for 2 seconds and reboot. I have no idea what its, i never saw this before. video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gqusI1ydRA Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298010-solved-boot-stops-in-heimdallkext/ Share on other sites

joe75
heimdall is the linux/mac alternative to samusungs official windows rom flasher (Odin). i doubt that any distros or .pkg's include that kext on their own.. lucaasdm3
Strange, because i don't have a samsung phone. one week ago i used CM Installer on a Nexus 4, but i rebooted alot of times after this. There's a way to delete the kext via terminal on a USB with OSX installer? (if this can solve the problem) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298010-solved-boot-stops-in-heimdallkext/#findComment-2019317 Share on other sites

lucaasdm3
Problem solved! I restored the partition from OSX to an external HD and deleted the kext via Windows in another notebook, then just restored back to the HD.
