I tried a couple of times and i always got the multimedia read error (i tried 4x, 8x and 16x (1x isn't supported by my dvd+r). I need this because vmware won't start up anymore (i reinstalled xp and when i installed vmware, it wouldn't start up and gave a strange error) and i installed always with vmware and daemon tools (mounted the disk image in daemon tools and booted from that image in vmware) Thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Rammjet Posted October 9, 2006 Share Posted October 9, 2006 I burn at 2X. I use whatever DVD (dvd-r) is cheapest to get. Is the firmware of your DVD drive up to date? Sounds like you may need to reinstall XP again and get VMWare working. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It really sucks that vmware doesn't work on my fresh install xp, and i reinstalled xp the fourth time this month and it's really freakin' me out...
