Most OSX86 compatible core2duo and overclocking board

Hi!

 

Im looking for a new mobo.

 

i only want to buy a new mobo for now but it should be compatible to core2duo conroe. for now im using an intel D95PSN mobo - and im very satisfied with it because everythings working for me.

 

so im looking for a board that supports

 

- core2duo conroe

- easy overclocking

- sound in and out and stereo (sigmatel 9220 would be great.)

- sata300 full worling

- usb2 full working

- IDE full working

- LAN full working

- at least 4 gb ram

 

I searched the forum a long time but every time i found a board something didnt work like sound in or ide or lan. i dont know if such a board exist but if anyone finds it please tell me.

 

on christmas im going to buy a core2duo i think but till then is want to use my old Pentium D 920 a bit overclocked...

I'm in the process of deciding between Mac and Hack, meaning I've done some trawling of the forums myself, mostly to find out about suitable motherboards. I'm a Macker by birth and so don't have any experience with these (hardware) things, but from what I've read I think you might be looking at getting a Bad axe 2, i.e. Intel D975XBX2KR. Supposedly made for overclocking, I think it's otherwise essentially the same as the original Bad axe which seems to have worked very well for OS X. Not sure about all the details you listed, though.

 

It would be good if some knowledgeable people could comment on this. Has this board been tried yet (is it out)? Will what's written about the original Bad axe be valid for the Bad axe 2. Maybe there is/will be an official thread, then that might be the place for this.
