I have installed iAtkos s3v2 (10.6.3) and after install update it to 10.6.7(use combo), after I download all kexts i need and now my pc run's perfect on 10.6.7. But i want to update it to 10.6.8 question is how to do it, to don't miss kext's installed before and to don't have kernel panic ? My pc: Dell Dimension 5150 P4 2.8 ghz 4 gb ddr2 Ati Radeon hd 5450 1 GB ddr3 (full working QE/CI) (pci-i) Audio pci cmi8736. Lan tp-link (pci) P.S. xadikx123 Posted March 31, 2014 Author Share Posted March 31, 2014 Solution 1.Remove or delete "caches folder" on sytem/library2.Run Disk Utility and click Repaired disk permissions3.Restart or reboot4.BackUp AppleACPIPlatform.kext & IOPCIFamily.kext on system/library/extensions folder5.BackUp IOUSBFamily.kext & IOUSBMasstroageClass.kext on system/library/extensions folder6.Run 10.6.8 ComboUpdate>wait to finish>Don't Restart or Reboot Computer7.Install AppleACPIPlatform.kext, IOPCIFamily.kext, IOUSBFamily.kext & IOUSBMasstroageClass.kext (U BackUp) with "kext Utility" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
