xcodexif
Hello, I'm stuck at "Waiting for DSMOS..." after (nearly) successful installation of Snow Leopard with iAtkos S3. I tried to update "FakeSMC.kext", delete "Don't Steal Mac OS.kext" or use "GraphicsEnabler=No", but can't see any "DSMOS has arrived." I am playing with the ethernet cable pluging and unpluging it for checking if the kernel isn't freezed ("Link down", "Link up"...) The system already booted but only once (I waited for about 2 hours ). Thanks for help PS : I am on an Asus P5LD2-VM with Core 2 Duo.
iFIRE
this is a problem with graphics kexts, or any kext like HdaEnabler, VoodooHDA, or sleepenabler.kext, Nullcpu, etc..., boot only with the kext FakeSMC.kext and look if this work and post all your hardaware for help

xcodexif
I just tried with an old unknown nVidia 7xxx with the "npic=0x2000" flag, and I have the same issue. I will soon have a 8800 GT. But the installer (and this install too before I installed the 10.6.8 combo update) booted fine on the GMA950, so I don't think that's a problem
xcodexif
I got a new motherboard, the 4CoreDual-VSTA : http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=4COREDUAL-VSTA I reinstalled Snow Leopard, and, after lot of installer crashes, I rebooted and got exactly the same problem : I am stuck at "Waiting for DSMOS". Any help ? Thanks. EDIT : Well, it works... I have just to wait about 1 minute for DSMOS. That's not a real problem. I'm downloading the Combo Update. Hope it will work after the update....
