mdg
I have (had) 10.4.7 running correctly with the Gigabyte x1600xt (the silent version) id 71c0. The only problem was 1024x768 (I had all other functionality fully supported), and it was so right out the box with DVI, and with no tearing. By the way, unlike the Asus (I think) this Gigabyte is Dual DVI and has no VGA port. I've tried the neo method, the boris method, etc., and I either get terrible mouse tearing or no QE/CI support, or both. Never had the the black screen like others, but nevertheless the system is basically useless after those 2 methods. Has anyone gotten this board to work with all support, 1280x1024 and no tearing, and out of the DVI port? I'm desparate and willing to give a reward to anyone that can instruct me in how to get this fixed. I simply cannot believe that a card that seems to work flawlessly right out of the box would have no way of switching resolution. Someone out there has to be smart enough to fix this. Any help...any thing you've tried so far (on this card specifically) to help me/others that might read this thread?
