Getting graphics glitches across the screen and in flash content - also system has starting freezing necessitating the need for a reset / reboot I have loaded the latest flash player because it seemed to happen after watch a flash content on Safari No change though ...... I guess it could just be a GPU driver issue ? My card is a GTX 760 Any thoughts ? Gringo Vermelho
What model identifier are you using? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/295611-poor-graphics-stability/#findComment-1988819 Share on other sites
ianmontana
That is a very good question - just googled my issue again and found someone with the same issue - they were using the mac book pro identifier 2011 I have just loaded the chameleon wizard and changed it to a mac pro 3.1 but when I have rebooted nothing has changed..... this doesn't make sense to me I have over written the symbios file in the extra folder - if I look at the contents with editor it all relates to the right definition but yet when I click on about this mac it still shows the mac book pro !!! What am I doing wrong Thanks Monty Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/295611-poor-graphics-stability/#findComment-1988832 Share on other sites
Hackmodford
Yeah, I have the same card with the same issue. The only thing that solved it for me was to use the macpro3,1 or use iMac13,1 or iMac13,20 (I recommend using the iMac one) 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/295611-poor-graphics-stability/#findComment-1988922 Share on other sites
ianmontana
How do I change the setting - I tried but it didn't work for me ? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/295611-poor-graphics-stability/#findComment-1988924 Share on other sites
Gringo Vermelho
Your smbios.plist is probably corrupted. Zip and attach it here and I'll fix it for you. Use the full editor to attach files. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/295611-poor-graphics-stability/#findComment-1988971 Share on other sites
ianmontana
Thanks for your help on this one appreciated - I take it the file I am amending is the correct one in the extra folder ? Zipped copy attached - it should be an IMAC 13.1 but my about still shows Mac Book Pro Regards Monty SMBios.plist.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/295611-poor-graphics-stability/#findComment-1989053 Share on other sites
Gringo Vermelho
Here it is. SMBios.plist.zip Changed and added some data. If it still doesn't work for you, zip and attach your /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/295611-poor-graphics-stability/#findComment-1989133 Share on other sites
