.SaFe
Hey! It's my first Hackintosh and I don't really know what to do. I read a lot of things about it, but nothing which could help me. I got OS X installed with iAtkos v7 and ddmac. Also I used Bootdiskutility. But when I want to boot my freshly installed OS X, all it does is rebooting as soon as the white screen appears. So I see the white screen (without Apple logo) for 1-2 seconds and then it reboots. I also tried booting with Bootflag -v, but after a lot of text appears it reboots. I hope you can help me asap, because I really need OS X at the moment. Kindly regards P.S.: My system is Compaq 615, so CPU : AMD Turion X2 RM-74 and GPU : ATI Radeon HD 3200
Laberlohe
Hello and welcome! Try to boot with "-x -v". Please post your system and the last screen you get with bootflag "-v" (verbose mode). Best regards
.SaFe
Getan, aber es startet wieder neu. Noch bevor ich einen Screen machen kann ist die gesamte Schrift schon wieder weg. // Typo is gone before I can take a picture.
Laberlohe
After a short crossreading through threads connected with "compaq 615" it seems like you have missed a driver/kext while installion. Reboot from iAtkos disc and just reinstall the needed driver...
.SaFe
I can't find the thread. Can you give me a link or tell me which kext it is?
Laberlohe
The missing kexts wasn't noted, just that a (or more) was missng. Sorry. Last time I used iAtkos was in 2008/9 on Opteron144 based machine - quite outdated...
.SaFe
Alright. Anything I could do? I don't really know which one it could be, so..... Just clicking around something won't help I think
Laberlohe
Trying to remember... have you checked "patched kernel"?
.SaFe
Do you mean Voodoo Kernel in the main-point "System"? No, I didn't check the box. Edit: checked it now but it made strange noises do I need v5 oder v7 checked? It didn't identify my Keyboard either. Do I need to use an external Keyboard at first and install the kext later? Laberlohe
Then make up leeway. Vanilla kernel can't run on AMD...
.SaFe
Did it, see last Edit.
Laberlohe
Strange noise? Fans running to fast? External keyboard is "normal", older notebooks used internal PS/2-connectors, which Apple never used. So a kext will be required...
.SaFe
Yeah, that could have been the fans! How do i fix that? Is the kext for older Keyboards already integrated in Customization? I'll continue tomorrow
Laberlohe
Should be named ApplePS2.kext or -fix... Fans should be related to powermanagement, but I can't remember how to fix this problem. Isn't there any PM-fix or patched ApplePM.kext?
.SaFe
Well, it works now, big thanks! The only thing I need to get working is WLAN. I have an Hama USB Stick, which worked fine with ML on another one. Do I need to install some kexts or something? The strange noises came from sound, sth didn't work properly, i dunno. It doesn't really work atm, sounds like it's lagging and kinda distorted.
Laberlohe
I don't know. It depends on the chipset of the WLan-stick... Leopard was last updated in 2009, Mountain Lion was released 2012. Especially if it's a wireless-n device will the kext/driver be much newer as Leopard ;-) Try latest VoodooHDA to fix sound problems. Same again, which chipset is used? .SaFe
VoodooHDA was installed automatically. In Hardware -> Audio (Bult In) there is just "Intel High Definition Audio" with Device ID: 0x103C308C
Laberlohe
Just I read that VoodooHDA 2.62 would be working well: http://nawcom.com/osx86/files/10.6/Audio/VoodooHDA/0.2.62/ Alternatively delete VoodooHDA and add your device/vendor id to AppleHDA.kext. (Don't forget to rebuild caches/repair permissions, e.g. by using kext wizard)
.SaFe
I have no sound now :/ But I watched the hackbook, after a few minutes it gets very hot so I turn it off. The graphic card on my last one got damaged and I think it's because of the temperature. What can I do?
ZaDoR
Try niresh distro, find bronyas latest kernel for amd rename it to mach_kernel and replace it with the kernel that niresh preinstalled. No boot flags needs
.SaFe
Hmm isn't there any other possibility? Would Mavericks work with the niresh distro?
ZaDoR
Well niresh's distro working almost with everything u just have find proper kernel and replace "amd" named kernel inside the distro and boot using flag ( amd -v GraphicsEnabler=No
.SaFe
that's the point. I can't find a working kernel for my amd. I think it's too old :/
