Hi gurus,

Pardon me but I'm a newbie. I manage to get hold of a 10.4.4 dvd and isntall on my machine. It went fine except for a few problems which I was reading this great forum to resolve.

However, I was dumb enough to not read about the live update from apple issues and went to do it. Obviously now all the patched files are overwritten and my machine won't work (Well, kind of. It boot till just before the GUI kick in and reboot).

I was wondering if anyone is kind enough to point me to the place or let me know exactly which are the files to replace to put back the patches. I should still be able to access it through MacDrive.

Thanks.

10.4.8 replaces several hundred files.

And if you don't know what files you patched, how would we know what patched files to tell you to replace?

You're going to be reinstalling. But if your ultimate goal is to end up with 10.4.8, you should start with 10.4.7 or maybe 10.4.6 - so go download one of those iso's and install it.
