ew456
I just installed Mavericks and everything appears to be working ok except for one issue. I installed QE_CI Exotic patch OS X Mavericks_GM to get Mavericks to detect my ATI 4890 (DEV ID 0x9460). I have a monitor that supports 2560x1600 so my ATI 4890 defaults to it. At this resolution it appears blurry or fuzzy. If I change it back down to 1920x1200, it looks perfect. I also notice that it thinks a VGA monitor is attached when there is not one attached. I have also tried messing with Graphics Enabler = YES / NO, with no luck. I have attached a screenshot of System Profiler graphics section. Does anyone have any suggestions on 1) getting rid of the blurriness/fuzziness at 2560x1600, and less important 2) how to disable it from thinking a 2nd monitor is attached. I didn't have this happen to me when I was on 10.8.X. Thanks! René_
Or try some bootflags with framebuffers and switch the cable to the other DVI port: http://www.osx86.net/topic/19594-radeon-4850hd-monitor-not-optimum-mode/?do=findComment&comment=94761
