    ATI Radeon 6370m - Mavericks

Hello guys, I am trying to make work my ATI radeon 6370M 512mb on my Packard bell TK 85. I'm starting this topic cause i can't find anything at this moment to make that graphic card work properly on oSX 10.9. Sound is not working, my video card is well recognized but get lagging and only 4mb recognized on 512mb. Default framebuffer is Eulemur. I read a lot on how to edit framebuffer personality. My AMD5000controller.kext is already patched with what i think are the appropriate information of my videobios. I will share my results if i succeed in it. otherwise if anyone get the solution, i will be more than interesting cheers!
  2. Ciao a tutti, Un ultima cosa da risolvere, vorrei far riconoscere del tutto la VGA montata, il modello è r9 280x, al momento è cosi rivelata: Mi potete linkare la guida da seguire? Grazie 1000
  3. Hello all, So finally i have managed to edit my DSDT to allow the 7970M card to be enabled. I have the HDMI working 100%, this is great but as it is a laptop i would love to have to internal screen working. I have read every forum on the net on how to edit custom personalities but i just can't seem to understand it! My laptop is a Alienware M17X R4, the ports from the card are: Internal screen, HDMI, VGA, DP. My frame buffer is Buri. I understand i need to inject these ports into the frame buffer, i just don't understand how to do it. I have looked everywhere on how to do it, and i have found articles that physically show me how, i just don't get it. So any help would be awesome!! If you ned any dumps, extra info tell me and i will get back to you ASAP! Cheers! 4. Greetings, My first post to the forum comes in the form of a question. I am wokring on build [2] below in my signature, and my eyes are just now getting opened to the fact that there is ways to make things work without going over to the TM forum***. Exciting!! So... previously as I did previously in build [1] I just used TM's standard tools*** to try and setup build [2]. System would not even boot into setup, and after a day or so, I stumbled onto Clover, and thought, lets give it a shot. It turns out that getting it to work was really not too hard - my board was found on rampagedev.com, so the collection of files needed was already there. Easy. Now, the problem I am having is my XFX R9-280 graphics card (dev id 0x679a1002) - system will not bootup with card installed. It simply stalls on the Apple screen with the progress bar about half way. If booting in with '-v', it scrolls through the startup, I see 3 lines there talking about it detecting and enabling my card, and then it stalls on the bluetooth. I am told this card is supported out of the box, and my system (10.10.3) does have the AMD7000controller.kext file in it, but it just stalls on boot. If I disable the previously mentioned kext, the system will boot but unacellerated (painful) and it just shows the graphics as "Display 7mb". I'm sure this has been done before -- anyone here care to shout out to an Insanelymac forum newbie? Been 3 days and counting on trying to get this dumb card working (I need it for the mini DP that the card has - have a 27" Apple Cinema Display just dying to use!!). Thanks in advance, ledoktre *** A couple of places above I referenced the TM forum or tools that you typically find on it. I am learning very quickly on this forum about the general concensus on that and please forgive my not knowing previous. I'll be reloading system [1] once I get this one squared away. Am only mentioning it here for the sake of clarity to how I got to this point today. Thank you in advance for not being too hard on me for that!!! :grins:
  5. Hello, Upon request I will provide any information needed. I am running OS X 10.10 with a Radeon HD 7790 (New AMD8000 drivers included which give native support for this card) When I connect a 2nd monitor the main display flashes and the 2nd display initializes, however there is no display. The main display still works, however I believe the graphics drivers hang, I can move the mouse, but everything else on the screen freezes. Here's the strange part: I tried this several times, and about 1 out of every 4 times, the second display works perfectly. I am fairly new to hackintoshes, but I have a feeling I may not be using the proper framebuffer personality. With this card being newly supported, I have no idea where to start. If you have experienced a similar issue with your dual monitor setup and/or have resolved a similar issue please don't hesitate to reply to this post! Joe Jackson
  6. for use with the Apple 27" LED Cinema Display (A1316 MC007LL/A) 2560 x 1440 which only has ONE cable with a mini DisplayPort plug, in now Mountain Lion and later Mavericks. $250 for Apple's ATI Radeon HD 5770 Graphics Upgrade Kit for Mac Pro MC742ZMA is too much for me. Usage: heavy Adobe graphics/ video mix (Photoshop/ InDesign/ Illustrator/ Premiere/ Dreamweaver), all open at the same time .. Final Cut Pro will follow later. Apart from that, here's what the card also needs to be able to deliver in 10.8.5 (and best 10.9): dual-monitor: connect a 2nd one via DVI or HDMI live resolution switching on both monitors w/o black or blue screens fully working wake from monitor sleep AND wake from MacOS sleep on BOTH monitors w/o black or blue screens cooling fan(s) not too loud if possible Sharing of best your personal experience or otherwise links or pointers would be very welcomed Thank you, Bugs

    Disabling ATi Card through DSDT

Hi everyone! I'm here to talk about disabling the discrete ATi Card through DSDT like disabling Nvidia Optimus. That's my situation: Intel HD Graphics (1ST Generation) - Full QE/CI + Resolutions ATi Radeon HD 5470M - Can't use it, my PC boots up with the integrated card. But I can use it with a BIOS mod (I don't want to do that, because there are some issues on Windows). Using Nvidia Optimus guides, I managed to reach a result: (Look at Core GPU Temperature) boot: after waking up my laptop from sleep: What I did Step 1 - Extract SSDTs from AIDA64 / Linux Step 2 - Find the SSDT table named "AmdTabl" (AMD Table) In this table I saw this method which should disable the card: Step 3 - Copy all the SSDT into your (pre-patched) DSDT Step 4 - Fix all the errors Step 5 - Make a new PINI method Method (PINI, 0, NotSerialized) { \_SB.PCI0.P0P2.PEGP._OFF () } and call it in _WAK method and in _DSM method in your IGPU device Now I need some help. Here for reference are all my tables and my final DSDT: dump.zip
  8. Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to hackintosh stuff but I have a pretty okay knowledge with programming. Essentially I tried installing the official version of El Capitan on my Mac Pro 3,1 running Yosemite and since then my ATI Radeon HD5000 graphics card has not been working properly. I can't fullscreen Youtube videos without serious lag and I can't run 3d graphics such as Unity3d. I think there's an issue with my kexts. Here's the output when I run kextutil on AMDSupport.kext and AMD5000Controller.kext. Can anyone point me in the right direction? mac@macs-Mac-Pro:~ $ sudo kextutil /System/Library/Extensions/AMDSupport.kext (kernel) OSMetaClass: Kext com.apple.kext.AMDSupport class ATIController is a duplicate;kext com.apple.kext.ATISupport already has a class by that name. 9. Well after 3 excruciatingly long days I have finally done it! I manged to get OSX 10.6.8 installed on my AMD machine but i'm still stuck in a few places... I am a super noob at this but good with tech work in general. I'm a Programmer/Web Developer/Hardware/Software Support guy by trade. hardware info: AMD FX4100 ATI HD5450 Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H So I used ModCD and a retail copy of 10.6.3 with the following flags: rd(0,0)/Extra/modbin_kernel arch=i386 legacy_kernel cpus=1 busratio=17 colors=32 GraphicsEnabler=No After a successful install I still couldn't get my machine to boot without a few flags: busratio=17 colors=32 UseKernelCache=No npci=0x2000 Once I finally reached the OS I did the following: Ran the Apple Combo Update for 10.6.8. Before rebooting installed legacy kernel AMD for 10.6.8 Ran Mulitbeast 3.10.x and installed all kexts, fixes, and ##### stuff Committed the second set of flags above to my org.chamelon.boot.plist Rebooted So the machine currently boots and runs but adding the ati5000injector.kext for my HD5450 to my Extras/Extensions folder causes the boot process to stall until it's removed. It seems to stall at the NvClockX loading process which i'm guessing is some sort of nvidia driver. Can I remove these drivers or is there a better way to get my ATI card to work? Can I fix my boot process so I don't have to use so many hardcoded flags to get it to start? Thanks in advance -Mike

ATI Radeon HD 5850 slow 3D Performace

Hi, i'm running OSX 10.8 ML very well. Only my graphics card ATI Radeon 5850 is a little bit slow in 3D Gaming. When I play World of Warcraft on medium details@1920x1200px it is not flawless. I've tested with the Bootloader Chameleon and Clover (same results) with Bootflags: <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>AtiConfig</key> <string>Uakari</string> In "About my Mac" it is shown as a ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series and when I start CInebench or Luxmark it is shown as "ATI Radeon Cypress Pro Prototype". Cinebench Score: 30 / Luxmark: 625 Any Ideas for getting better performace?
  11. Hi guys, my copy of ML will not boot after install. Here's the error in full: [AppleBluetoothHCIControllerUSBTransport][configurePM] ERROR waited 30 seconds and still did not get the commandWakeup() notification this = 0xffffff8010348000 kBluetoothHCIEventHardwareError occurred status = 0x0037 (kBluetoothHCIErrorSecureSimplePairingNotSupportedByHost or kBluetoothHCIErrorMax) mNumberOfCommandsAllowedByHardware 1 [iOBluetoothHCIController::setConfigState] calling registerService And then it just hangs there. Specs: Intel Core i5 Processor ATI Mobility Radeon 5650 GPU Intel HD Graphics Inbuilt 6GB of DDR3 RAM Windows 7 Please note I have NO access to ANY Macs or Linux machines. Boot Flags: -v, CPUs=1 (CPUs=1 fixes APIC error.) GraphicsInjector=No/Yes (neither work) I use Clover bootloader. Thanks!

You will see a black screen when start Clover and can't do anything. I've tried use base64 to encode hex '0x68181002' and set the type to <data>. It didn't work either.
  14. Because I have some problem with my screen .. I'm re-doing the kext for Mavericks Need GraphicEnabler=yes and AtiConfig=Hoolock Because I have re-mapped the Hoolock only.. Need to sleep Have fun PS : this is for people want two screens with a good resolution. the problem at the start is I have just one monitor detected .. Now I have my two screens detected with the good resolution 1920*1080. Connected to HDMI and the first DVI on top.. AMD5000Controller.kext.zip
  15. Hello everyone! OK I know this is a relatively ancient system, but here it is: I was having some free time in the summer and thought of giving my old Toshiba Satellite A300 (PSAGCE) a second try in installing Mac OS X El Capitan with Clover. Generally, I think that this is a good hackintosh-candidate laptop, apart from its Mobility Radeon HD 3650 GPU (DevID 0x9591). So, I tried to follow-up guides from bcc9, mucha, slice and vlada on ATI kext patching to enable the internal LVDS display and see what will happen. I started with the two scripts decoding the VGA Bios. My results were the following: Radeon_bios_decode: ATOM BIOS Rom: SubsystemVendorID: 0x1179 SubsystemID: 0xff1c IOBaseAddress: 0x5000 Filename: 28109C.bin BIOS Bootup Message: Tosh_IEC_Potomac_M86_DDR2 M86 GDDR2_16Mx16 128bit 256MB 600e/500m PCI ID: 1002:9591 Connector at index 0 Type [@offset 45056]: VGA (1) Encoder [@offset 45060]: INTERNAL_KLDSCP_DAC1 (0x15) i2cid [@offset 45146]: 0x90, OSX senseid: 0x1 Connector at index 1 Type [@offset 45066]: LVDS (7) Encoder [@offset 45070]: INTERNAL_KLDSCP_LVTMA (0x1f) i2cid [@offset 45169]: 0x14, OSX senseid: 0x5 Connector at index 2 Type [@offset 45076]: HDMI-A (11) Encoder [@offset 45080]: INTERNAL_UNIPHY (0x1e) i2cid [@offset 45192]: 0x91, OSX senseid: 0x2 Connector at index 3 Type [@offset 45086]: 9 pin DIN (9) Encoder [@offset 45090]: INTERNAL_KLDSCP_DAC2 (0x16) Redsock_bios_decode: 28109C.bin : Tosh_IEC_Potomac_M86_DDR2 M86 GDDR2_16Mx16 128bit 256MB 600e/500m Subsystem Vendor ID: 1179 Subsystem ID: ff1c Object Header Structure Size: 266 Connector Object Table Offset: 46 Router Object Table Offset: 0 Encoder Object Table Offset: ce Display Path Table Offset: 10 Connector Object Id [5] which is [VGA] encoder obj id [0x15] which is [iNTERNAL_KLDSCP_DAC1 (osx txmit 0x00 enc 0x10?)] linkb: false Connector Object Id [14] which is [LVDS] encoder obj id [0x1f] which is [iNTERNAL_KLDSCP_LVTMA] linkb: false Connector Object Id [12] which is [HDMI_TYPE_A] encoder obj id [0x1e] which is [iNTERNAL_UNIPHY (osx txmit 0x10 [duallink 0x0] enc 0x0)] linkb: false Connector Object Id [15] which is [DIN] encoder obj id [0x16] which is [iNTERNAL_KLDSCP_DAC2] linkb: false As you can see, the Bios decode scripts point out this structure: CRTC1>DIG2>UNIPHY_KLDSKP_LVTMA>LVDS (SenseID 05 ???) CRTC2>DAC>DAC A>VGA (SenseID 01) CRTC2>DIG1>UNIPHY_A>HDMI (SenseID 02) CRTC2>DAC>DAC B>S-Video So, I tried to create a custom framebuffer string for each output: VGA 10000000100000000001000000100101 LVDS 02000000400000000901000010010205 HDMI 00080000000200000001000010000302 I injected the LVDS and VGA strings for AMD3800Controller.kext in Clover. This resulted in black screen in LVDS (nothing was showing up in system info as well), but the VGA was successfully detected and enabled. [FIRST WIN! ] I tested it with the single monitor setting in BIOS (in previous tests with Chameleon, the change in this setting gave me different results, I don’t know why, but they were weird - e.g. LVDS was showing up as a second VGA monitor with the same characteristics as the VGA monitor connected when both outputs were enabled in BIOS! Apparently, Clover uses only single monitor setting - even when LVDS+VGA setting is selected in BIOS, when Clover shows up, one monitor is off). What was strange, was the i2cid value of LVDS (0x14). Doing some search for it, I found a thread from 0xdeadbeef pointing that Radeon_Bios_Decode script may return wrong values about SenseID. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/255199-editing-personalities-in-older-ati-framebuffers-iago-friends/ Also, an old thread from YannickD about this laptop on Leopard suggests that this laptop has a LVDS which behaves like a DVI in a way (I didn’t actually understand that to be honest). So, I decided to do some trial and error tests on SenseID and ATY-ControlFlag values of the framebuffer (I was considering Transmitter and Encoder values as well, but on HD3000 these are hardwired, so it wouldn’t make much difference). Also tried to change some settings in Clover (Rename my GPU from OVGA to IGPU in DSDT and play with Load VBIOS and Inject EDID options in Clover). http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/149872-ati-moblity-radeon-hd-3650-on-ideneb-13/ After some (not too many to be honest! ) tests (mainly brute-force attack on framebuffer values and change of options) I found out a setting which successfully worked on LVDS!!! My internal monitor is successfully detected and I can have the basic 2D functions for it (resolution & colour change)! [sECOND WIN! ] What did work was the default SenseID of the framebuffer (11 instead of 05) AND the ATY-ControlFlag for DVI (1402 instead of 4000 - others for DVI might work as well!) PLUS the options in Clover (Rename in IGPU for DSDT, Load VBIOS and Inject EDID, which are usual Clover settings for laptops). When tried both LVDS and VGA, both monitors were correctly detected and working! The only strange thing was that the GPU was detected as an ATI Radeon HD4330M instead of Mobility HD3650. Now the bad things… I can’t enable QE/CI acceleration, even though the DevID 9591 is included by default in ATIRadeonX2000.kext. Apparently, the kext is loaded, but returns zero values. This is the second computer that I cannot enable because of the damn ATIRadeonX2000.kext - YannickD says that after Snow Leopard Apple removed some detection routines with fixed values. Has anyone here found any clues about ATI Acceleration kexts and their values? I tested different controllers as well to see if I can get the acceleration. Results were the same for AMD2400Controller.kext, AMD2600Controller.kext and AMD3800Controller.kext, but on AMD4600Controller.kext the system crashed and rebooted before showing anything. Finally, I tested the HDMI string. The result was that the monitor was successfully detected and its properties were correctly showed up in Mac OS X, but the monitor was showing nothing (black screen). Since HD3650 can drive up to two different outputs, maybe a special switch must be enabled for the output, or might be a transmitter-encoder issue (don’t know - didn’t have the time to search more for it, as I was focused on the internal monitor, but it seems something minor). This was for the Video only - I have not tested the HDMI Audio To sum up The framebuffer working was: VGA (successfully detected and enabled - no QE/CI) 10000000100000000001000000100101 LVDS (successfully detected and enabled - DIFFERENT VALUES FROM SCRIPTS IN BOLD - no QE/CI) 02000000140200000901000010010211 HDMI (successfully detected but showed nothing in monitor - no QE/CI) 00080000000200000001000010000302 S-Video - not tested Load VBIOS, Inject EDID and Rename from OVGA to IGPU in DSDT were essential for the monitors to work. I tested these settings across different versions of Mac OS X as well, and got the same results. I can try them on Sierra as well, but I think results will be the same. Bottomline I think there is a need to do further search about framebuffer string values and their meaning. - IF they do not function for you DO NOT BLINDLY TRUST THEM - ESPECIALLY IF YOU GET BLACK SCREEN!!!!!!!!! Also, it would be very good if someone could tear down the acceleration kexts (especially the ATIRadeonX2000.kext) Anyone??? Please??? Thant’s all folks and sorry for my long thread!
  16. Version

Hello world, I have decided to upload my own personally hex edited driver for the XFX Radeon 6670HD 2Gb video card with the HDMI-DVI-VGA setup. This is modified from a stock 10.9.3 AMD6000Controller.kext file with the Ipomoea personality edited to suit the connectors, encoders and transmitters for this card since they differ from the mac-based display port 6670HD model. I have tested the HDMI and DVI which appear to work at the same time since i'm dual screening with these connections currently - the screenshots can confirm this. I have yet to test the device using the VGA slot since I have no need for this connector. Hopefully it works all the same. Install to S/L/E with a utility such as Kext Wizard - backup replacements to be safe - repair permissions and then reboot. ---IMPORTANT--- The required bootflags for this kext to be activated are GraphicsEnabler=Yes aticonfig=Ipomoea atiports=3 **You will need to remove any injectors prior from either /Extra or /S/L/E though this is unlikely needed since kext graphics injection is largely outdated. **Due to the chip on the card triple monitoring is not possible. Best of luck

  18. First build ML (with myHack) on on Dell Inspiron 530. Is running but I have a 1650x1050 monitor and when I look at Display in system preferences it only says approx. 1000x750. I presume I need a specific "kext" for the graphics card to get display to 1650x1050 but googling I have not come up with anything. Can somebody point me in the right direction please or do I have to reconfigure existing system somehow? Thanks
  19. Hi everybody I have been experimenting to install mac os x mavericks on my system brief system specs are ASUS P5QL PRO Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q9400 @ 2.66GHz 6GB DDR2 ( 4 sticks) 80GB Hitachi Deskstar SATA HDD Graphics: ATI RADEON HD 6850 I was successful in installation, later I observed that my graphics card has been detected as 6xxx series during installation and working in 1080p mode (max supported resolution). Monitor is detected correctly as Samsung SMS24A350H. that is nice but I didn't saw anything like 'Quartz Extreme and Core Image (QE/CI) enabled' under graphics properties of mavericks Do I need to still install driver for My graphics card ? if so, where can i get the driver and what is the best way to get maximum performance? I am confused in DSDT, Kexts etc what is the difference don't know where to get proper driver, how to install kindly suggest

    Edits to AMDFramebuffer :|

Hey guys! I'm still working on QE/CI With 10.9.2 M When I load VBIOS in Clover, It instantly reboots after a stage.. I've tried both including and excluding my VBIOS in the ROM folder.. Anyway, I ran kext wizard and realized the AMDFramebuffer.kext is not loaded I wonder if that's the problem and what I must do to get it running? Thanks! Ashton
  22. Hi people, I have been trying to hackintosh my system ( HP G6 2005 AX) . I managed to install it and get everything working, except Graphics and my network card. 7670M - Thames- device id - 6840 7640G - Trinity- 0x9903 I have no option to disable a graphics card from my system bios, ( Insyde F26 Bios). I read a lot of methods on how to patch connectors, and i'm really confused how to go about it. It's been driving me crazy for the past week. Please help? Also, my network card keeps saying cable connected, even when there's nothing connected and keeps shuffling between that state and self configured DHCP.
  23. Hi everybody, I am currently working on getting a 2 Screen setup to work with my system. I have a recent 27" Shimian QH270 (DVI) with 2560x1440 max. and a pretty old MEDION MD7218AR (VGA) with 1280x1024 max. The very first step was to make my ports work. For this I edited my Duckweed Personality after reading Alexander Martinez' Guide, and bcc9's Thread. My first problem was I had no Windows Partition and no HDD lying around. Tried for days to get almost every Windows working on externals without luck. Then stumbled upon this Guide from rampagedev which is basically a round-up of all the others and went for the DOS way. When I was already set up to work my way through all personalities I found fffeee's Post who has exactly my card. So I thought I'd give it a try and just edit my Duckweed as he did. This is the as-is for now. My DVI Ports both work, which is what I needed. (Can't even test HDMI and DP) [ DVI-I(DL) ]✔ [ HDMI ] [ DP ] [ DVI-D(DL) ]✔ My Problem: When I connect the DVI-D Cable of the 27" to the DVI-D Port I don't get support for no-VESA resolutions (which is 2560x1440). When I connect it to the DVI-I Port, the Screen gets full resolution support. This is troublesome, since I have no chance to connect the VGA Adapter to any other port than the DVI-D. I came across this thread about VESA modes but it actually refers to the boot screen only. I did try to edit my ROM and load it with AtiROM=Yes but failed in editing I suppose since system didn't even load. My Boot.plist Custom DSDT GraphicsEnabler=Yes AtiConfig=Duckweed AtiPorts=4 GraphicsMode=2560x1440x32 My Question(s): 1) Is there anybody out there with a) experiences with similar cards + edited framebuffers + screen sizes or even with similar working setups? 2) Do you have any ideas/tips for me on what to work on to get support for the desired resolution on that port? (VESA/Framebuffer/Other?) My System: Mainboard: GA-H77-D3H (EFI F10) CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1230V2 GPU: Sapphire HD6870 1024MB (Barts XT RV940) GPU VenID: 1002 GPU DevID: 6738 GPU SubSysID: 174b OS: 10.8.3 (12D78) For further input I can post more details if necessary. Hope anybody has some ideas floating in their head. Greetings Deri~
  24. Hi. Im trying to install OSX (niresh) on my Aspire 5551G Laptop. My laptop specs are: - Amd Phenom II x3 n830 (i'm not putting this topic on the section called "AMD" because is a problem related with graphics card, processor works perfectly). - Ati Mobility Radeon HD 5470 - 4GB RAM - 500 GB HDD. - Broadcom wifi Everything including wifi is working except the graphics card. I'm not able to get QE/CI Acceleration. I have tried to use niresh mavericks or niresh mountain lion (10.8.5). None of them supports. I have already tried patching EDID with clover, but no sucess (all works but there's still no qe/ci acceleration or resolutions). Using chameleon or chimera with "GraphicsEnabler=Yes PCIRootUID=1" i get a screen full of glitches. If i connect with VNC there's still no qe/ci acceleration, And if i don't use "PCIRootUID=1" Then nothing happens (no qe/ci acceleration but screen ok). I have already tried with some kext's. Nothing happened. I dont know how to inject EDID on chameleon and i think that this could save me. Someone can help me?
