Hi,

i have an ASUS P4P800-VM (intel 865 Chipset) and have a big problem with graphic card driver :

first with ou modded intelgraphics.kext i have this :

image12ya.th.png

after editing intelgraphics with my values ( 0x25728086 ) i can change resolutions in safe boot mode

after editing AppleIntel830.kext , AppleIntel830GA.plugin i have this :

image22dv.th.png

then i am forced to remove AppleIntel830.kext , AppleIntel830GA.plugin , AppleIntelGL... to get a correct image on screen

then i don"t have QE working (see pic above)

If someone have success with the same mother board or have found a way to correct this bug ?

My card info :

Display:

Type: VGA-Compatible Controller

Bus: Built-In

Vendor: Intel (0x8086)

Device ID: 0x2572

Revision ID: 0x0002

Displays:

AL718:

Resolution: 1280 x 1024 @ 75 Hz

Depth: 32-bit Color

Core Image: Not Supported

Main Display: Yes

Mirror: Off

Online: Yes

Quartz Extreme: Not Supported

i'm not lucky :( on shuttle 2572 seem to work ;)

thanks but i've tried this and the result is (see yellow pic above) :)

if someone avec succes with an Asus P4P800-VM or havec resolved a similar problem with an intel 865 i really want to know how

actually i can only change resolutions (comme with AppleIntelIntegrated.kext) but no QE (AppleIntel830* bug) even edited them like explain in post above

screen glishes solved :D

i finaly have Quak extreme working on my P4P800-VM with Intel 865G built in graphic card

i'm using 830.kexts from darwin

boot using -x (safe mode)

fix résolution to : 1024 x 768 16 bits 75Hz reboot

screen is yellow but you can see text scrambled on screen (if don't work try other res) :o

on top bar change resolution to 800 x 600 75Hz ;)

screen is perfect

after i get it to 1280 x 1024 x 32 bits @ 75 Hz with Quarke extreme enabled :P

then on some openGL apps i noticed OS X is less stable ... but i got 5 more point to xbench with QE enabled

and Os interface is smoothly now :D

hope this thread will help someone
