Apple bluetooth keyboard paired but some keys don't work

Long time lurker saying Hi and asking for help   so here goes, I'm running a dual boot  (Windows 8.1/Mavericks) on my 3 years old system didn't face any problems with the install and everything is running beautifully, I decided to get an apple bluetooth keyboard and a Magic track pad 

and I'm using an old iogear gbu421 and I got both paired in both Mavericks and windows the problem is the keyboard works fine in windows but the numbers and letters won't work in Mavericks I can use most of the other keys on it and I can't figure out whether it's a hardware or a software problem.

Intel I7 970

24G Corsair Dominator 

Evga GTX 770

Kingston Hyper X 240 SSD

IOGEAR GBU421 Bluetooth Dongle

You need to install the drivers (Bootchamp). Try to extract them with Pacifist.
