The Baron
Just a quick note to let you know Slack 11 has been released. I'm looking forward to trying it, but when will Patrick use the 2.6 kernel - surely it's stable enough by now? Any other Slackers out there? BTW I'm also downloading Sabayon linux after a recommendation on this site - the eye candy looks fantastic... lord_muad_dib
slackware is the old but still rocksolid granpa of linuxes i doubt it will move to 2.6 permanently(for now at least). afaik the manteiner dislikes some of the changes in the 2.6 kernel structure. even if it sometimes leads to some limitations... all those conservative moves and its historycal oldish style are slack trademarks after all. it happened since early releases.
