Gringo Vermelho Posted October 9, 2013 Share Posted October 9, 2013 Well that's confusing..there's a separate AC97 codec for the Mic, CD and Aux inputs. C-Media CMI8788 I guess is what you need to use as search term. I know someone was working on a C-media-something driver but I don't know if it was ever finished. If that doesn't pan out, your options are VoodooHDA, or a patch for AppleHDA.kext for that specific C-Media chip. If that doesn't pan out, you're going to have to try using your motherboard's on-board sound for OS X.
