USB disk mount order

My system is working flawlessly, however... I do have a problem that is affecting me.

I am using Parallels to run a Linux system, on a physical SATA disk.  This works great, however if I boot my computer with a USB thumbdrive installed, it will renumber the physical BSD disks

For example -

/dev/disk0 = my Macintosh HD drive

/dev/disk1 = my Linux 1TB

If I boot with a USB thumbdrive installed, I get this:

/dev/disk0 = USB Thumbdrive

/dev/disk1 = my Macintosh HD drive

/dev/disk2 = my Linux 1TB

This makes the Parallels VM unable to boot, as the physical disk number has changed for my Linux 1TB

Is there any way to have the USB disks enumerate AFTER internal SATA ones?
