JLITMAN Posted July 29, 2013 Share Posted July 29, 2013 I'm a first time Hackintosh builder but have built custom pc's and did my own upgrading on the many macbooks, mac pro's I've had over the years.First and foremost I've given myself a budget of $3,000 strictly for the build. I already have an interfae (UAD Apollo Quad) along with a OWC Mercury Pro Extreme 240GB SSD which I intend to use. Can someone please point me in the right direction or let me know if I've steered in the wrong one with the list of components I've chosen. theconnactic Posted August 1, 2013 Share Posted August 1, 2013 The only thing that won't work, AFAIK, is onboard wi-fi: if you need wireless, you must buy also a PCI-e card, such as TP-Link WDN 4800. JLITMAN Posted August 1, 2013 Author Share Posted August 1, 2013 I've found it hard to locate the UP5's at reasonable price if at all and was wondering if any other Gigabyte Motherboards were available (price not an issue to an extent) that would have the thunderbolt (2) integrated? The other one i didn't heard about. All the best!
