In desperation i pen this message. I recently purchased a Lenovo Edge 72z All in one. Ivy bridge i3 processor, HD 4000 on board Video, Sata HD and 4gb of ram. I thought with these specs i'd be good to go. I did some research prior to purchasing and identified that the inbuilt intel wireless would not work in OSX, a usb wifi adaptor was purchased to alleviate this problem.

The Lenovo comes shipped with windows 8 (poo) i deactivated secure boot and formatted the drive and windows 8 was a thing of the past. I have had all types of problems with the installation, i've tried #####, #####, my hack  and others. I have manged to install mountain Lion using rboot and then run the installation files via usb. My issue is that that the bios / UEFI is apparently locked to prevent any format besides fat32 from booting. As a result i cannot boot from a usb key and have had to use the above rboot method.

So post installation i run ##### and choose suitable options, upon rebooting though i get an error message "unable to boot from this drive" or similar.

Any thoughts ? is it possible to partition one drive to have Fat32 mbr and GUID partitions, if so i think i may be able to use a bootloader in the fat32 to boot osx ?

I'm lost

Thanks in advance

DMP

These "installers" are not supported in the forum.

These installers are Chameleon based. Chameleon can only work with BIOS/legacy boot (in UEFI boards) - not in pure UEFI. Hence if you are using UEFI mode (not legacy), these tools are not going to work. Clover can boot OS X in UEFI mode.
