DrewDigity
I've read the tutorial http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=22844 about setting my partition to active. When I type Diskutil list it tells me my Mac partition is on Disk1. So then when I type fdisk -e /dev/rdisk1 I am told its an illegal option or something like that. I've tried every variation possible as far as spacing and I am still told its illegal or something. Please help!! Rammjet
OK, when you type "fdisk -e /dev/rdisk1" without "sudo" what is the exact error? Are you sure you didn't typo? Are you sure that you want disk1 which is the 2nd hard drive in your system? Rammjet
It says... Enter Help for Information Fdisk: 1> What do I do?? It is waiting for you to type something. Type what the guide says to type. You just typed the "fdisk" command. (step 4) Step 5: Then you type "p" to get a list of partitions. Read what partition number you want to set active. Step 6: Then type "f 1" if you want to set the 1st partition active or "f 2" for the 2nd, etc. Step 7: Then type "write" to save your choice. Then type "y" to confirm it. Then type "exit" to quit. Step 8: Remove DVD and reboot. Just like the guide says.
