Chun-Nan's IOPCMCIAFamily.kext for Leopard 10.5.6-10.5.8:-

http://www.mediafire.com/?wk0kyuynmmyjzik

- Also compatible with Snow Leopard 10.6.0-10.6.3 on some notebook

- Required this kext to properly detect the PCMCIA slot, NIC card & wireless card (changed from Atheros AR5BXB63 to Broadcom 4311/4315 wireless card)

- Need to install this kext in /System/Library/Extensions folder

Mac OS X 10.5.X (Leopard), Snow Leopard 10.6.0 & probably 10.6.1 are compatible with Acer Aspire 3684NWXMi notebook. Newer Snow Leopard is not compatible with this notebook because of the processor (Intel Celeron M 440) & Mobile Intel GMA945/950 GPU are no longer supported. You will required to use legacy kernel (patched kernel) with Snow Leopard or it will kernel panic because of the unsupported processor. Therefore, the last fully compatible Mac OS X for Acer Aspire 3684NWXMi is 10.5.8.
