Mounting OS X ISO in Linux

Here are instructions for mounting the ISO in Linux if you can't do it (this is part of the Mac OS X 10.4.8 VMware Install Guide):

• Download the quemu-img program here
  
• Execute the following command with quemu-img and press Enter:
  

qemu-img convert -f raw .iso -O vmdk .vmdk

 

• Attach the converted VMDK disk image as a secondary IDE drive in VMware
  
• Mount the original ISO on the CD-ROM
  
• Boot from the secondary IDE drive
