Staphyl Posted August 18, 2006 Share Posted August 18, 2006 Today Apple released new SMC firmware for the Macbook line. It improves the behavior of the fan and lets the Macbook run ALOT cooler. Colonels of the forum states that his MB went from 180 degrees F to 118 F which is a signifigant change. I think we'll be seeing more Macbooks on laps instead of on tables. This is a sharp relief for me seeing as im getting my Macbook less than a week from now. Good to see that Apple is doing something about it.
