curlyboy Posted September 29, 2006 Share Posted September 29, 2006 Hi Ive recently switched from intel d915gevl motherboard to asus p5ld2-vm dh motherboard and ive just noticed now that osx doesnt pick up memory speeds which is 533 mhz were as before on the intel board it picked it up just fine ive also noticed that on the new asus board too it now pick up cpu speed as 3.8 ghz and before again on the intel board it picked it up as 3.0 ghz everything seems to run just fine tho its just that i find it very odd could anyone give me any ideas as to why please Thanks in advance Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Rammjet Posted September 29, 2006 Share Posted September 29, 2006 It just does. It said my processor was 3.8 GHz both before and after I overclocked it, and both speeds are below 3.8 GHz. And RAM speed is unknown. Things work fine. Plus, Intel Macs use variations of Intel boards, so the OS can probably read things better with them than it can with Asus boards.
