System: Asus P8Z68-V Pro + Core i5 2500k

Install Method: Here (Used FakeSMC & AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement kexts + my ML /extra folder)

Status:

  • CPU: Works great. Benchmarks reveal no loss of performance
  • GPU: Works out of the box. Full resolution + multi monitor support.
  • Ethernet: Fixed with hnak's AppleIntelE1000e.kext
  • Audio: Fixed with AppleHDA.kext for ALC892
  • Apps: App store & messaging works out of the box
  • USB 3.0: Does not work out of the box. I'll attempt to fix and report back

NOTES:

  • Latest version of Skype (as of 6/11/2013) is unusable on 10.9. Version 6.0.0.2946 works great

I have the same board. I can install, but then when trying to boot, it seems ACPI crashes. How did you use your extras folder, and what am I missing ?

When booting from the USB with -v -f I get a halt

Failed to load executable AppleACPIPlatform

and then a KP

After I installed Mavericks, I opened the terminal from within the installer and copied FakeSMC.kext + AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext to the newly installed system. System booted without any problems. I used -f -v, but I rebooted out of curiosity and it worked without any flags at all.

OK so reboot into the installer, then cp fakesmc and appleIntelCPUPowerManagment from where?

Copy them from the USB installer (/system/library/extensions) onto the Mavericks installation (/volumes/<maverick drive here>/system/library/extensions)
