w.jeffrey Posted September 29, 2006 Share Posted September 29, 2006 i have a cd that i need to create an image for, like a .iso, what app do i use to do it, i have toast but don't know if that will work. i'm in a bit of a hurry so any help would be great! Rammjet Posted September 29, 2006 Share Posted September 29, 2006 In Toast, click the Copy tab and insert your CD into the optical drive. Go to the File menu -> Save as Disc Image and select where to save the image. It will save it with an extension of ".toast". Just change that to ".iso". In Disk Utility, insert the CD into the optical drive. Select the CD in the pane on the left. Go to File menu -> New -> Disk Image from (your CD) Give a location. In the Image Format pop-up, select CD/DVD Master and save the image. It will save the file with an extension of ".cdr". Change that to ".iso".
