netboy007 Posted September 23, 2005 Share Posted September 23, 2005 Hello Everyone... Finally I was able to install Release 1 DVD in my Laptop. I swapped my hard disk with a friend that has a 6 months newer Laptop and the installer ran without any trouble. When the computer rebooted we turned it off and placed my disk again in my computer and booted up normal. (When I tried installing directly in my Laptop, I received a "Still Waiting for Root Device" message). The only thing is that I don't have is Sound, Wireless, Modem, Flash Cards Reader, CD/CD-R/CD-RW/DVD/DVD+R/DVD+RW Drive and as everyone else in the forum, my video is also not working accelerated... I've read the forum a lot and my hardware seems to be natively supported... Sound Card: Analog Devices 1981B - (It is listed in the AppleAC97Audio.kext/AppleAC97CodecAD198x.kext) Flash Card Reader: TI PCI 1520 1620 Modem: Agere Soft Modem Wireless: Broadcom 802.1b (Model printed under my Battery BCM94301MPL. Followed the AppleAirPort2.kext method, did not worked) Video Card: ATI Mobility Radeon 9000/9100 IGP 128Mb Shared Chipset: ATI M9 M10 RC300M My Laptop is Pentium 4 @ 2.8Ghz (Northwood) with 512Mb RAM and a 40Gb HDD. I have deleted the AppleTPMACPI.kext and Installed Maxxuss .5 patch. Now the OS is quite fast. Any ideas on how to fix this problems would be enormously appreciated!
