Wildey1771 Posted April 30, 2013 Share Posted April 30, 2013 Hi As The Title Says. I Have A AMD FX 8350 And A 990FXA-UD3 Motherboard (Gigabyte) And A GTX 480. I Have Tried Multiple Things To Get Snow leopard onto this but its a no go. At this moment I have a retail installation but it will not boot. I have put the CPU to 4 cores and it helped on the install. but I cannot make it boot. To start the install disc I have to use Nawcoms modcd. I use Bootflags: rd(0,0)/Extra/modbin_kernel. That makes the install start. When I use the same flag to boot the installed OS it freezes. Look @ Pics. I Will Try any Suggestions I have been trying things for days. No, don't try Snow Leopard - try Lion, since by far far far the most stable OSX release to date as far as AMD machines are concerned. With Lion 10.7.5, once properly installed, you'll have a solid system, fit even to real work usage. It's not easy, but it's definitely doable.
