colordeficiency
Asus P5LD2-VM Intel Pentium D 805 RAM 2 X 1 GB DDR2 / 667 MHz DVD +/- RW NEC ND3520 HD Seagate 80GB I'll install 10.4.6 and update to 10.4.7 on this. Please comment, esp. on the memory part. Does this board support 667 MHz? From what I found out, everything on this work out of the box. But I don't understand out of the box, does it mean JaS patch it not required?
acidnine
You will still need to Install the Intel Patches from the JaS DVD. On my Pentium D I ended up installing all of the JaS Patches, because I tried to select just the intel and the os functioned very screwy, never bothered to find out why though. Anyways, looks like everything should be good, what will you be using for a video card? The best "supported" card would be the ATI x1600 sapphire. colordeficiency
The VM has a built-in GMA 950. I've a question though, what's the difference between a P5LD2-VM and a P5LD2-VM SE? EDIT: Is the P5LD2-VM SE the same as a P5LD2-VM R2.0? Being the SE (Second Edition) instead of SE (Special Edition) MOD: Maybe this be move to the hardware section? Guest bikedude880
With some overclocking, the board will support your memory at it's fullest speed. You will need to do some small kext hacks in order to get the audio working, but that's really it. If you need help, PM me... it looks like you and I have the exact same config.
