I have a Dell Inspiron 1150 laptop, which when I tried to install realized that I need to the set the UMA memory to 8MB, instead of 1MB.

But that laptop shows a different BIOS setup than my dimension desktop. It has limited settings and no way to change any memory values. How do I upgrade my BIOS, does the latest FlashBIOS have the ability to change UMA memory?

Or is there an alternative to doing so.

It is newer and I just updated. But I realized that It doesn't make much of a difference. It adds a password options section but that's all.
