Rusty Shackleford
If anyone remembers the part in jurassic park where the kid gets access to a computer and says "wow - it's a unix system" you might remember that they show a screen shot of a cool 3d file manager for IRIX called fsn. http://www.sgi.com/fun/freeware/3d_navigator.html Well, there is a way cooler 3d file manager for OS X called 3D-Space VFS avaialbe at http://www.marcmoini.com/f3_en.html This is a new version which does not yet support file movement, deletion, copy etc, but these features will be supported soon apparantley. It's also a trial version, but i can't see any expiry date anywhere so perhaps it's an unlimited trial (well worth paying for anyway) Perhaps one of the best features is the way it displays thumbnails as icons for jpegs etc so browsing your pictures folder is like the scene in the warehouse from i robot! The Baron
Nice find, takes a bit to get your head round, but I'm going to stick with it. I wonder if you could set it as a background wallpaper?
