Naxx
Hi everyone, I installed hazard 10.6.2 and after some days I made it works. Now I'd like to update to 10.6.8 because a lot of applications work only for 10.6.8 and I'd like to have Mac App Store. I tried updating from Software Update, but before it finished to install (I think when it was saying "Moving files to right place" or something like that), it gave me a kernel panic, I've attached a picture. After, when I rebooted, it stucked at apple logo without the moving circle, or if boots with -v black screen before apple logo. Now I've reinstalled 10.6.2: how could I update proprely? Sorry for my bad English. Thank you in advance! Matteo

carbo178
I would not be wrong, but hazard should use a patched kernel, so if so you should first get a patched kernel for 10.6.8 and download the combo update (google search). Another thing to do, delete VoodooHDA (if any) before the update, cause a conflict with applehda, make a list of the kext you've added to run Snow, once finished the update but do not restart reinstall the kext (which overwritten by Update). Only then cross your fingers and reboot. P.S. would be a good thing that I put in your signature hardware, I realized the only photo of the panic which is a HP laptop ... but which model? Naxx
The fact is that I cannot reboot, because it crashes before the update installation fhinishes!
carbo178
Tried vanilla installation (no hazard)?
Naxx
Anyway, no I haven't, but if there was a 10.6.8 installation it would be great! I tried 10.6.6i but DVD doesn't boot: it's stuck on "Still waiting for root device"
