sharber89
hello, i am new here for 2 reasons. A. i want to learn more about building hackintish pc's and B. i am trying to build a budget hackintosh music studio pc and need guidance. does anyone have any mobo/cpu/video/audio card suggestions? i'm trying to stay within a $400 budget for now. just need something for a basic hackintish studio. i do not want to skimp on the mobo or video/audio card, i want to use pro tools so i need a nice video card with connections for instrunments and microphones also. thanks in advance! Alessandro17
You can't buy much for that money. Maybe if you are lucky you can find something second hand in good condition.
Dr. Hurt
Mobo: ASRock B75 ($75): chipset fully supported OOB, ALC662 fully works with voodooHDA and AppleHDA http://www.newegg.co...N82E16813157314 CPU: Ivy Bridge Pentium Dual-Core @ 3.2GHz ($99) http://www.newegg.co...N82E16819116887 RAM: 2x4GB Geil DDR3-1600 ($47) http://www.newegg.co...N82E16820144614 VGA: Geforce GT520 ($50) works OOB with GE=Yes http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814130680 Thats little over $270 for a compatible, decent performing build. You can go for an i3 or an i5 if you're willing to spend a little bit more. PS. Don't take any of my recommendations for granted. Do your research first. Alessandro17
What about a case, a PSU and a DVD drive?
Dr. Hurt
I don't think I need to give any recommendations regarding those components, but I understand what you mean. I guess I shouldn't have used the word "build" just yet. hehe Anyway, $270 is still a long way from $400.
