Funky frank
Hi, I updated OSX 10.6.6 to 10.6.8 v1.1 with the combp updater. Afterwards I replaced IOPCIFamily and IOACPIFamily with the versions from 10.6.7. Now the nvidia kexts do not work anymore. If I install the nvidia fermi update for 10.6.8 (which worked in osx 10.6.6), the driver loads in bdmesg-log ("nvhal50 loaded and registered"), but there is no output on hdmi anymore. How can I fix this problem? Thank you for help! My system: Vaio F11, gt330m, OSX 10.6.8 v1.1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/284101-after-update-from-1066-to-1068-v11-nvidia-drivers-do-not-work-anymore/ Share on other sites
Funky frank
Hm, seems to be already fixed simply by changing boot option: GraphicsEnabler=no Now the nvidia drivers work out of the box on hdmi. Funky frank
But one question: Is there now a better way available than replacing ioacpi und iopci for installing OSX 10.6.8 v1.1? I did not find any other approach... (npci=0×2000 as start parameter does not work) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/284101-after-update-from-1066-to-1068-v11-nvidia-drivers-do-not-work-anymore/#findComment-1865163 Share on other sites
