hpbrown Posted September 21, 2006 Share Posted September 21, 2006 Hi I'm trying to boot Jaz 10.4.6 DVD on my Dell Dimension 9200 (chipset P965 , Conroe 6600, SATA HDD & ODD) but without any luck so far. i'm getting an error "waiting for root device..." I've read several posts on other P965 boards..and it seems that some of found workarounds by using USD drives. Has anyone tried on a Dimension 9200? Do I need a USB DVD drive only to install onto the internal SATA HDD or both USB DVD & HDD ? thanks for your suggestions Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bardz Posted February 22, 2007 Share Posted February 22, 2007 i have a dell dimension 9200 which is pracitcally identical to you and i get the same error with the 10.4.8 Jas Intel/AMD SSE2/SSE3 DVD so dont try that its the Motherboard P965 which is the problem, sorry to revive an old thread but does anyone know how to work around this cause im sick of windows and i really wanna get rid of it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
