Cerastez
I have an HP m7757c MediaCenter . with 10.6.8 installed. It worked very well for about a month and then it suddenly began to have problems. When I checked the BIOS I found that my settings were going back to the default. The date would stay set but the SATA controller kept changing to RAID no matter how often I reset it to ACPI. I have replaced the CMOS battery twice now and the problem persists. Any ideas what would cause this? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/282174-losing-my-bios-settings/ Share on other sites
rockinron_1
Look up elliotforcelegacyrtc or how to patch applertc to prevent cmos resets. Pre-patched kexts can be found with a little reasearch. Gringo Vermelho
Here: http://www.insanelym...howtopic=276066 (not sure if this works on Snow though, back up AppleRTC.kext before running the perl script so you can restore it if it doesn't.)
