darkosx
Ok i recently had a hard drive fiasco and i had to sacrifice my macs hard drive for windows, completely reformating it. Now i have a new HD im tryin to install os x 10.4 on my original mac hd (The one which was sacrifced) but i come to an error, When i see my hard drive in the installer, there is a little red triangle and it says os x cannot start from this volume ive tried re-formating it, But nothing will work! I hope someone can help cause i want my mac back I have a g4 that is compatable with osx. DiaboliK
try completely repartitioning the hd in disk utility using apple's partitioning scheme. that may solve your problem. schwanginpt
Instead of repartioning the drive, have tried a complete erase (write zeros) to the drive and making it totally blank? Then run the installer DVD when you boot up. Hope that helps.
