moteofsunHD
Hi Insanelymac. I am new user here. I hope someone to see my topic and probably to help me with this. I like mac, i like the style, i like to work with it(most of work for c++ developing). So, i really want to install mac os x on my pc. Now im using windows xp/7. I have xp because i broken my dvd-rw and cannot boot from other thing. My pc specs: Proc: AMD Sempron 140, 2.7 ghz. Video card: ATI Radeon HD 5570 1GB/128BIT. Sound Card: Realtek ALC883 High Definition. LAN: RTL 8201CL chip (10/100 Mbit) Chipset: NVIDIA® GeForce 6100 / nForce 430 chipset USB: Up to 8 USB 2.0/1.1 ports (4 on the back panel, 4 via the USB brackets connected to the internal USB headers) No DVD-RW is broken up. So, if someone see this, i hope to help me to boot from a 16gb usb stick. Regards, moteofsunHD. Kalearne
Have you tried pressing escape during boot and checking boot manager. I generally have to do this because my USB doesnt connect before the VM machine boots. Kalearne
my experience is slightly different. I've got Mountain Lion on USB but all I have to do is make sure the device is connected and tell boot manager to boot from the USB device. There is a possibilty your AMD core could be the problem. Dont suppose you have an i5 hanging around do you? Foxic
Why are you using a VM? Your PC should run Snow Leopard with the AMD kernel. Foxic
The AMD Lion kernel is not stable yet so are best to stick with SL for the moment. Start with the OS X 86 Mod CD/USB and a Snow leopard 10.6.3 retail disk. redneck
I use macDrive in windows to edit Mac install, if I kill mac (install bad ktext) 1: To make a bootable usb> the only success i had was restore in mac utility and install a boot loader >need access to a mac. 2: borrow/buy portable dvd drive. 3: your best bet would be for amd is iportable 10.6.5 (google) you will need to enter the amd kernel at boot.
