Funky frank
Hi my Acer X3812 with OSX 10.6.8 still seems to have a problem: If I go to sleep mode, the fans and the harddrives (and I guess also the cpu) are powered on. The computer wakes up well from sleep. What could cause this? I have no idea. Attached my dsdt and /extra stuff: Archiv.zip + Sleepenabler from here Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/281277-sleep-mode-still-has-hd-and-fans-powered-on/ Share on other sites
Rampage Dev
That is sleep mode S1. You need to set in your BIOS to S3. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/281277-sleep-mode-still-has-hd-and-fans-powered-on/#findComment-1839089 Share on other sites
Funky frank
Hm, ok but it sleeps completly with Windows 7, why is this? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/281277-sleep-mode-still-has-hd-and-fans-powered-on/#findComment-1839386 Share on other sites
Funky frank
Here To Help: I checked it now, S3 mode was and is activated in bios. So you still mean this is because of S1 mode? Are there any configuration options in the dsdt to activate S3? Funky frank
The computer went to sleep, then I pressed mouse and it woke up. The sleep dump changed, no more errors. I updated the logs above. But still the harddrives and graphics card do not sleep! And also in sleepmode, the fan of the grpaihc card starts to run with full power.
