If I install GM, will it expire? And will I be able to update it to the official version when out? fantomas Posted July 12, 2012 Share Posted July 12, 2012 hi The GM (Golden Master) is the final version of OS X, except a major problem, so the "official" version that you will find on the Mac App Store will be this one, The Golden Master. To install OS X Mountain Lion, you need to buy the official version (19.99$) or open a developer account (99$/year) to obtain the Golden Master. There is indeed another way to get the GM, but it's not allowed on the forum ! Discussion of P2P, torrent sites, or similar download sites of any kind will not be tolerated. We do not want to know your illegal downloading habits.
