familyguy9877
I would like any suggestions of good working cheap agp nvidia cards full qe and ci I don't need anything fancy, just between 64-256Mb, I am only looking to spend a little money. If I end up using one of my cards, the main thing i'm after is getting full resolution support. I also would like any possible suggestions on getting my cards I already have working I have: Nvidia ti 200 128mb geforce 2mx 32mb ati radeon 9250 256mb nvidia geforce 2 ultra 64Mb Any help appretiated -Eddie Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/280042-good-nvidia-agp-cards-will-my-cards-work/ Share on other sites
giofrida
You need at least a GeForce FX5200/FX5500 to get QE/CI. I written a guide here! familyguy9877
So any of these should support full qe/ci and work with osx This one This one or this one And if any of these will work, are there any in particular that would be the best? Gringo Vermelho
Support for Geforce 5xxx series was removed as of 10.5.6. A 7600 GT AGP card should work well up to 10.6.8 at least (I don't know if 7xxx cards will work on Lion) - but as of 10.6.3 in 32-bit kernel and drivers mode only. Since there were no Intel Macs with AGP there is no native AGP support* and the card will work as a PCI card at 33Mhz bus speed. This is great for everyday desktop use but forget about playing games at resolutions above 640x480, there is simply not enough bandwidth. *some experiments were done by Slice and a handful of other devs at the time, but support is limited to a few specific chipsets and video cards.
