Infamous
Only E6600 and higher have 4MB cache. But not in Apple machines. They are 4MB... How comes? Different CPUs? Chrysaor
iMacs (except 999$ one) use T7x00 Core 2 Duo "Merom" chips (mobile version of Core 2 Duo E6x00 "Conroe"), they all have 4MB L2 cache. T5x00 Meroms have 2MB L2 cache, 999$ iMac uses this one. Infamous
Thank you, that cleared it up. I thought they use Yonah. I don't know the difference, though Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/27948-why-imacs-have-4mb-cache/#findComment-191005 Share on other sites
