Shaneee Posted May 22, 2012 Share Posted May 22, 2012 I installed the 10.6.8 update using the software updater within mac and then installed the Legacy Kernel package from nawcom. Hit reboot and it started installing 10.6.8 but failed so rebooted now its stuck in a login loop. Its asking for the password when there isn't one so I press enter then black screen and back to the login page. How can I sort this? Fixed by booting into another Mac with the HDD connected and installing the combo update from apple then the legacy kernel package.
