Korni22
Hello dudes! I recently bought a 3770K and a Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H. I create a USB Stick using Uni.Beast, but I wan't able to boot from it. That is actully my fault, cause I did not use 10.7.3. Afterwards, I created another version using the .dmg of 10.7.3 (yes, I legally bought 10.7.3, but my internet connection is pretty slow (1mbit), so I can't download the required .app file simple as that.) The tutorial I used is this But I did not use the files provided, instead I used the "Extra" folder from the most recent Uni.Beast and installed Chimera on the stick, since the Chameleon Buildbot is currently offline. Sadly, I still can't boot from the stick into the installer, I keep getting "still waiting on root device" - no matter where I plug in the USB Stick (front or back, USB 2.0 or 3.0), no matter which boot paramterers... And yes, I even installed Bridge Helper on the stick... Do you guys have any idea what could be the problem? Is it the connected SSD? Oh, and AHCI is activated Or any misconfiguration in the BIOS? (BIOS F5, even tried with "Optimized Defaults") Greets, Korni22 P.S.: Sorry for my bad english, I am from germany^^
be11o
u need modified kernel to boot hence there is no native ivybridge support (get modified mach_kernel and istall it to boot succefully) I even installed Bridge Helper on the stick... try to reinstall it (BIOS F5, even tried with "Optimized Defaults") u must use optimized defaults no matter where I plug in the USB Stick (front or back, USB 2.0 or 3.0) it must be usb 3.0if it doesnt help then make new usb stick using un1b3ast, install mach_kernel on it then boot (remember to put lion app in applications folder b4 running un1b3ast)
Korni22
As I already said, I tried booting with Bridge Helper, but it did not work oO Okay, I will reset my BIOS again. Okay, I will try using 3.0, thanks so far And I will download the regular installer from the App Store, so I can create a proper Uni.Beast stick
Korni22
So, since 10.7.4 was recently released and the App Store installer has been updated, I did it using Uni.Beast and a 10.7.3 .dmg file. Sadly, it still does not work...
