CaptChadd
Hi there, I managed to get a retail Snow Leopard 10.6.0 installed onto my PC using the ModCD and pretty much everything has worked out of the box. I have fully working sound, usb, network and Video, I saw the intro video and now have my custom resolution sorted. The only thing though is that you tube video fullscreen is unwatchable and very jerky and browsing on the internet seems a little jerky too. My specs are below: Abit Motherboard NF-M2SV AMD Athlon X2 Nvidia 8800 GTX I have noticed though that on system profiler it say this but I have more Video ram than that on this card. Display: Type: GPU Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x8 VRAM (Total): 32 MB Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x0191 Revision ID: 0x00a2 Displays: Display: Resolution: 1280 x 1024 Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes If anyone can help guide me in the right direction that would be great? It really is amazing to not be stuck to a distro like I have been the the past. CaptChadd
Just to let you know that I now have a fully working Hackintosh from a retail USB. I used the efi string from osx86 tools and now have my 8800 GTX fully working. Have the see through menu bar and full screen you tube video all working perfect. Thank you InsanelyMac for feeding my curiosity about creating a Hackintosh. CaptChadd
I have managed to do the update fully and I only had to install the legacy_kernel before rebooting. Everything is working, the only issue I had was audio coming out of one speaker so I plugged in my USB Creative Xfi go and now full sound from both speakers. Everything is working 100% on this install including update and I am using it to type this right now. App store is working too. If anyone has a similar build to me and whats help installing their Hackintosh then just reply here and I will try to help.
