Please help guys, I'm lost on this one

Hi everyone,

 

After my first attempt of putting osx on my dell 5150, I was in love with the system. However before jumping into a full mac, I put together a machine purely dedicated to osx. I went on the WIKI and collected board and video card specs that had the best success. I picked the motherboard for internet and audio success and video card due to the boris drivers.

 

Now the problem is that my dell is running osx with incredible speed. My new machine is running it so slow and I can't figure out what it could be. The best example is SLOW dock movement and laggy to no animation. I am wondering if it's my bus speed on the board, ram or video card.

 

I bought the same cpu in my dell and I patched for both sse2 and 3. I even just patched for sse3 but that did not help.

CPU: Pentium 630 3ghz hyper thread processor Prescott (same as above)

 

RAM: CORSAIR DDR 400 2x512MB (1 GIG total)

 

VIDEO: POWERCOLOR X1600Pro Radeon X1600PRO

512MB 128-bit GDDR2 AGP 4X/8X Video Card

 

MOTHERBOARD - ASRock 775i65G Socket T (LGA 775) Intel 865G Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

 

 

 

If someone could please help me out with this I would be forever grateful. I of course am willing to replace ram or motherboard if need be on this situation.
